Choose your pump wisely for your anaerobic digestion applications - PCM progressive cavity EcoMoineau™ MX pump

 

For its farming operations, a customer had chosen to install a lobe pump, which unfortunately required numerous maintenance interventions.

After seeking PCM's expertise, a progressive cavity pump EcoMoineau™ MX pump was installed to replace the lobe pump. Commissioned in early 2020 and after transferring 580,000 m3 of digestate, the customer has now replaced the pump's stator after 3 years of use!

 

Moral of the story: It's essential to choose the right pumps for your applications to optimize costs, especially maintenance, and production.

For anaerobic digestion applications, PCM progressive cavity pumps are effective and reliable for handling abrasive fluids and those containing particles.
